Test Automation Engineer

· play a key role in maintaining and improving of the test automation frameworks for our trading platform

· design and develop complex features for our custom test tooling landscape

· collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues

· continuously adapt and improve the test automation practices and processes

· stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and technologies

· Execute, monitor, troubleshoot and report incidents/defects on test failures

You will be working in the Test Automation team within Trade and Transfer Assets which belongs to Technology for Global Wealth Management and Personal Banking & Corporates (GWM and P&C). The department owns and operates the bank's strategic trading platforms and infrastructure for Fixed Income, Funds, Global Equity Markets, Structured Products, Fiduciary, ETD Options and Futures. The Test Automation team is a cross-crew Pod, working with 20+ delivery Pods and responsible to build and maintain efficient test automation solutions for all delivery pods within the department.

You have:

· been working on complex platform and have designed and built automation frameworks in the past

· proven track record of effectively applying software testing methodologies and testing best practices

· proficiency in Python programming language (proficiency in Java is a plus) and able to use other programming languages as well (Java, JS etc.)

· proficiency in test automation tools such as Test Complete (or similar)

· understand both Windows and Linux/Unix systems, and able to effectively troubleshoot under both platforms (some PS and Shell knowledge is required),

knowledge of Cloud platforms such as Azure and IaC technologies such as Terraform and Ansible are a plus

· vast experience automating front- and back-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuerry, C#, Java, .NET, and SQL, Mainframe) as well as APIs (SOAP, REST)

· experience with continuous integration and delivery tools such as GitLab (or similar)


You are:

· strong communication skills in English

· detail-oriented with good analytical skills

· proactive in questioning and proposing new ideas

· independent task and project management

· eager to learn and understand end-to-end processes

· ability to build and use professional networks

· capable of multitasking across projects

· bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

· 5+ years of experience in test automation and software testing
