Uber She++ and UberSTAR

Uber She++ and UberStar are only for female students and LGBTQIA+ community. Second year college students are eligible to apply. UberSTAR is designed to provide early-in-career engineering internship opportunities for populations traditionally underrepresented in the technology industry. The purpose is to convert our UberSTARs into our engineering internship program and ultimately to full time Uber engineers. The participants of She++ go through a selection process of a coding assessment followed by interview rounds, to select interns for the UberSTAR program. Following their UberStar internship, they undergo the same evaluation process as any regular internship, and finally, based on their manager's recommendation,they are invited back for an engineering internship the following year. This year, we are broadening our inclusivity efforts beyond gender. We are excited to welcome students with any form of disabilities ,those from the LGBTQIA+ community and students from Economically Weaker Section groups from colleges across India, offering them insights into the world of technology and a career with Uber.

Uber is a global leader in the ride-sharing industry and has always made significant efforts to improve urban mobility through technology. Uber's dedication goes beyond transportation, though. The company has actively participated in various social initiatives to promote diversity, inclusion, and empowerment. One such initiative is the Uber She++ India Fellowship.
