Risk & Compliance Specialist II (ID Theft Team)

About The Role

Global Safety, Identity, Risk and Payments is pioneering how Uber manages safety contacts that contribute to Uber's goal of providing world-class customer support by identifying areas of opportunity and strength through consistent contact review.

This position is responsible for investigating reports of identity theft and documenting these reports in line with the standards set forth by our program team, locking down accounts with a stolen identity, and ensuring our earners' and customers' are safe.

The ideal candidate is a methodical but creative thinker who has a passion for investigation and process improvement. The team member must thrive in the type of environment that is ambiguous, fast-paced, and where the only thing that is consistent is change. Many of the challenges we face have no textbook solution, so the ability to invent is critical.

What You'll Do

• Develop subject matter expertise in your team's workflow and conduct account reviews
• Develop case details, analyze evidence, and present recommendations for internal actions to key stakeholders
• Manage high case load and touch on all active cases in a timely manner
• Be able to learn and master multiple systems used within the workplace
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Maintain focus on data integrity and producing work of the highest quality
  
  

What You'll Need

• Fluent in English both reading and writing
• Experience working in a highly detail-oriented environment, demonstrating a high degree of diligence and accountability
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional reading and interpretation ability, attention to detail
• Resistance to stress and pressure of working with high severity cases
• Passion for driving quality and process improvement. Confident in presenting feedback and findings to stakeholders
• Proficiency in productivity tools (email, calendar), Google Suite or Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong teamwork skills towards a shared sense of purpose
• Experienced in fraud detection or document verification (nice to have)
