Job Title: SCN01H – Contract Specialist (Sales)
Brief Description: This position will manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) & Contract revision process. Under minimal guidance, recommend improvements to reduce contract issues and expedite the overall contract process quality and efficiency. Collaborate with the Sales Leadership Team, Underwriting, Pharmaco Analytics, and Pricing to analyze and recommend process improvement for the RFP and contract revision processes and other internal processes to improve client satisfaction. Function as the subject matter expert for other operational departments to analyze, mediate and reconcile contract issues. Solves complex problems. Work independently and receives minimal guidance. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
Specific job duties:
- Manage the Request for proposal (RFP) & Client Contract revision processes and recommend improvements to reduce issues and expedite the overall RFP and contract process quality and efficiency.
- Support quality improvement efforts by analyzing and recommending process improvement for contract revision process and other internal processes to improve overall contracting process quality and efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- Serve as a point of escalation for issues requiring a higher degree of understanding.
- Define, maintain and communicate operational processes and procedures internally to ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly understood within and outside of the Client Contracting Department.
- Manage internal contracting initiatives that support or impact global contract processes.
- Provide continued education/training to the Contracting team members, sales and account management on current contract terms, changes in edits and business decisions.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 11 – 14 years of equivalent work experience
- 5– 8 years’ experience in contracting, legal environment, or process improvement; Experience in PBM, or healthcare preferred
- Strong organizational skills to work cross-functional to resolve complex contract issues
- Strong focus on customer service
- Ability to manage timelines and balance multiple deadlines
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, learn quickly, solve problems, and make decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
