Duties
You will be the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Program Manager for Marine Corps Base Quantico.,You will monitor and coordinate, through the NEPA review process, with other professional personnel engaged in environmental compliance programs to ensure all obligations are included in the construction, operation and maintenance of MCBQ facilities.,You will interpret policies, plans, and programs and evaluate performance data against broadly established objectives, goals, and standards.,You will identify pollution abatement requirements to be included in military construction programs or in projects to be supported with funds from operations and maintenance, Marine Corps, or other appropriations.,You will represent MCBQ and actively participates in consultations, meetings, conferences, and committees involving policy and other matters pertinent to environmental compliance and remediation.,You will serve as Project Manager providing professional and technical administration of A/E Contracts for environmental work.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: advising on policies and all other relevant environmental laws, regulations, and standards; performing full range of facilities and land management; researching technical publications and coordinating with related environmental to develop newsletters, instructions, regulations, and training materials. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. No PCS costs will be paid. Several vacancies may be filled.
