Duties
Oversee all departments within the Law Enforcement Division,Develop internal programs implementing new polices and procedures suited to depot needs.,Review cost effectiveness of department operations according to depot regulations.,Delegate tasks to subordinate supervisors affecting overall operations.,Implement corrective actions to resolve areas of contention.
Qualifications
Conditions of Employment Continued: This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment physical examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. This position requires the incumbent to be able to wear chemical-protection equipment. Position may be converted to permanent without further competition. Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years. Temporary reassignment may be made or extended at management discretion. Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of two years. Position may be converted to permanent without further competition if an authorized space becomes available. Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest. This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes 1) Reviewing polices, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws; 2) Overseeing all branch training to ensure subordinates are properly trained; 3) Preparing budgetary requests based on travel, training requirements, and workload. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Education
