Duties
Program, design, and develop automated testing/analysis procedures.,Establish Army TEMPEST/PDS policy to provide security doctrine worldwide.,Communicate under direction of Army G2 and coordinate with government agencies as needed.,Coordinate with Facility Security Managers, System Program Managers, and PDS authorizing officials on design planning for physical security countermeasures.,Equitably assign work and provide expert direction for analytical agendas.,Train Section TEMPEST/PDS technicians to conduct system and facility assessments and determine PDS compliance.,Review TEMPEST and PDS completed work for technical adequacy and compliance with instructions.,Monitor staffing needs and advise on vacancies, workload changes, or staffing adjustments.,Perform and supervise signal analysis using TEMPEST test equipment to detect potentially compromising signals.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience providing Subject matter expertise developing programs and policies in response to emerging technologies or new security requirements; AND Ability to exercise overall technical and administrative supervision over TEMPEST/Protected Distribution Systems (PDS) staff ; AND Ability to direct system and facility assessments to determine TEMPEST compliance; recommend countermeasures for vulnerabilities; AND Experience in safeguarding national security information and technology against hostile exploitation related to TEMPEST threats. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Program Development and Oversight Policy and procedure Improvement Technical Authority and Standards Alignment Policy Development and Advocacy Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
