- Manage the goods flow throughout the plant according to the goods production flow (Inbound and Outbound)
  
  Assures all material is properly labeled
  Feed the production lines to avoid any stoppages due to missing parts
  Inform supervisor when stock is low
  Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking parts if needed
  Manage the labeling process with the bar code scanners and make sure that the incoming material is placed in the defined areas
  Operates scrubber/sweeper and disposes of trash, scrap, and industrial waste material.
  Perform other duties necessary as determined by the supervisor, analyst, or manager for the effective operation of the shopfloor or autonomous maintenance
  Make continuous improvement efforts through Kaizen work philosophy

Requirements

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

Ability to operate hi-lo material handling equipment
Move materials safely throughout the plant from receiving docks throughout the plant and shipping docks as processed by the logistics and management team
Assures all material is properly labeled and informs supervisor when stock is low
Maintain 5S in warehouse and aisle ways
Operates scrubber/sweeper and disposes of trash, scrap, and industrial waste material
Performs all material handling tasks within the BOS process
Follow all WMS (Warehouse Management System) processes
Advise Supervisor/Superintendent of situations that may pose a significant risk to employee safety, the program, product assurance, facilities, or customer satisfaction results
Excellent record of attendance (willing to work overtime as needed)
Available to work on 2nd shift - 2 pm to 10 pm

Summary

This role is a direct report to the on-site Logistics Manager. The Logistics Operator will operate material handling equipment (counterbalance, stand-up, and reach forklifts) to move parts throughout the plant. The role of the material handler is to support the work teams so that the product can be manufactured and shipped without interruptions. A forklift certification and previous work experience in a production or automotive capacity are preferred. The logistics operator is expected to be punctual and there is a possibility of working overtime on weekends depending on client demand.
