Join the Enterprise Supervision team at Tyler Technologies as a Software Engineer supporting our Integrations Platform. You'll be working alongside a tight-knit team of engineers and architects who have designed and built our next-generation, event-driven integrations platform from the ground up. We're looking for a skilled developer with strong TypeScript experience who is also comfortable working in Golang.
In this role, you'll help design and evolve scalable serverless microservices, shared libraries, and integration patterns that connect product domains across our platform. If you enjoy working asynchronously, writing thoughtful design docs, and solving hard integration problems at scale, this is the team for you.
Hybrid Work Policy: This position requires a minimum of 3 days per week in our Plano, TX office.
Design, build, and maintain AWS serverless microservices using Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Step Functions, API Gateway, and EventBridge.
Develop and evolve shared TypeScript libraries covering config management, observability, HTTP client, and schema contracts consumed across services.
Author and maintain Infrastructure as Code using AWS SAM and CloudFormation.
Implement event-driven integration patterns that enable interoperability across product domains.
Write and maintain unit and integration tests using Vitest; leverage LocalStack for local AWS service emulation.
Participate in Architecture Reviews for breaking changes and contribute to design discussions.
Manage package versioning and releases via Changesets and GitHub Packages.
Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, Product, and DevOps teams within Agile development cycles.
3+ years of professional TypeScript/Node.js development experience.
Hands-on experience with AWS serverless services including Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, and Step Functions.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, with AWS SAM or CloudFormation preferred.
Solid understanding of event-driven and integration-centric architecture pattern.
Experience working in a monorepo with pnpm workspaces or similar tooling (Nx, Turborepo).
Comfortable with semantic versioning, changesets, and package publishing workflows.
Familiarity with observability tooling including structured logging, distributed tracing, and metrics (AWS Powertools a plus).
Experience writing tests with Vitest, Jest, or similar; comfortable with local cloud emulation using LocalStack
Familiarity with JSON Schema, runtime validation libraries (Zod, AJV), or schema registry patterns.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong written communication skills.
