Lincoln Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a full-time 3rd Grade Teacher. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and a love for learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress through various methods, including tests, quizzes, and informal assessments.
- Provide individualized support and intervention for students who require additional assistance.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic achievements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a cohesive educational approach.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom that promotes respect, responsibility, and a sense of community among students.
- Manage classroom behavior and implement effective discipline strategies as needed.
- Prepare and participate in school events, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification for elementary education, specifically for 3rd grade.
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies for elementary-aged students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
