As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Supervisor for our facility in Ellensburg, Washington. 

 

What We’re Looking For:

Assist the Senior Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Operations by being responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant handling of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods in a temperature-controlled environment. This role directs warehouse team leads, forklift drivers, coordinates inbound and outbound logistics, maintains inventory accuracy, and ensures strict adherence to food safety, quality, and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping of finished goods as well as bulk commodities and packaging for production.

·         Ensure proper inventory control practices (FIFO/FEFO, lot tracking, accurate transactions in WMS/ERP).

·         Coordinate closely with production, QA, other facilities, and logistics teams to support production schedules and customer orders.

·         Conduct leader standard work activities, including tracking and reporting warehouse KPIs, conducting 5S, GMP and Safety audits, leading Root Cause Analysis activities, and coaching employees.

·         Ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety regulations, and company policies.

·         Other duties as assigned by leaders.

 

 

Required Skills, Education, Certification and Qualifications

·         Two-year college/technical school or higher; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         3+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.

·         3+ years of warehouse experience in food manufacturing or cold/frozen storage.

·         Prior experience leading teams in a unionized environment or demonstrated ability to work effectively within union rules.

·         Prior experience with forklifts and other powered industrial trucks (PIT).

·         Prior experience with Lean, TPM, or other Continuous Improvement methodologies preferred.

·         Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software; Inventory software; Internet and order processing systems.

·         Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

·         Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out and deliver instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

·         Must have good verbal and communication skills.

·         Ability to read, analyze and interpret data with great attention to detail.

·         Ability to learn new software programs.

Essential Physical Abilities:

Ability to sit at an office desk with sufficient vision and physical dexterity to use PC desk top system.

 

Ability to use standard functions of office equipment (PC, calculator, fax, printer, scanner, copier, smart phone, etc.).

 

Ability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds for use in day-to-day job functions.

 

Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes which permits the employee to have access to various work sites throughout the facilities. Able to climb/squat/etc. to inspect equipment.

 

Ability to travel to other TCF company locations or industry events to conduct and participate in on-site meetings. May require overnight travel.

 

Ability to work in a cold storage warehouse condition–cold, wet, slippery, noisy, etc. environment for 8-10 hours. Wearing a freezer suit.

    

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to work near moving mechanical equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
