About the Role:
We are currently looking for a Lead Engineering Manager to join our small but exceptionally talented team of physicists and machine learning engineers from top institutions around the world. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping our technology roadmap and leading the development of innovative solutions that directly serve high-impact stakeholders such as REITs and Private Equity (PE) firms.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team
- Drive the execution of complex technical projects from ideation through delivery
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and domain experts to integrate machine learning models into production systems
- Translate stakeholder needs into scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions
- Own architectural decisions, code quality, and system reliability
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience managing and scaling engineering teams in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Strong technical background in backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and/or data-intensive applications
- Experience working with AI/ML-based platforms or teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to align business and technical goals
Bonus Points For:
- Experience working with or building solutions for financial services, REITs, or private equity firms
- Familiarity with Python, Go, or modern fullstack development frameworks
- Exposure to real-time analytics, data lakes, or geospatial data systems
