About the role

Truveta is a healthcare data platform that provides EHR data for scientific research. They are seeking enthusiastic new graduates who are passionate about using technology to improve healthcare and are eager to apply their skills in a dynamic startup environment. Responsibilities: - Apply software engineering fundamentals to build reliable and user-friendly software solutions using modern cloud-based tools and practices. - Collaborate with teammates to develop and test components of Truveta's platform, including web interfaces and backend services. - Participate in code reviews and learn best practices for writing clean, maintainable code. - Explore and contribute to proof-of-concept integrations within Truveta's ecosystem under the guidance of senior engineers. - Embrace curiosity and a growth mindset to learn about healthcare technology and deliver on our mission. - Adhere to Truveta's principles of ethical innovation, privacy, and security, with ongoing training provided. Qualification: - A recent / expected graduate from a program in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or related field of study - Familiarity with programming in one or more modern languages (e.g.: JavaScript, dotnet, python, java) through coursework, internships, or personal projects - Basic understanding of web development or backend development (e.g., HTML, CSS, REST APIs, databases, server-side logic) - Interest in learning about distributed systems, data pipelines, or healthcare technology - Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn in a collaborative team setting - Passion for Truveta's mission to improve healthcare through data Preferred: - Experience with genomic data or healthcare-related projects is a plus but not required. - Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) through academic projects or internships is a plus - Contributions to open-source projects, hackathons, or personal coding projects.
