Software Engineer (Backend)

trueup is looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our engineering team. As a Backend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reliable backend systems. You will work closely with our product and design teams to bring our vision to life and deliver high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities: - Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems and APIs - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions - Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code - Optimize and improve the performance and reliability of existing systems - Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting - Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, frameworks, and best practices in backend development Requirements: - 3+ years of experience in backend development using languages like Python, Node.js, or Go - Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development - Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and message queuing systems - Proficiency in writing clean, well-documented, and testable code - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Experience in building scalable and fault-tolerant systems is a plus
