We are looking for an experienced and passionate Lead Frontend Engineer to join our team at Trucker Path. In this role, you will lead front-end development efforts across key web applications, supervise a team of talented engineers, and contribute 50–70% of your time to hands-on coding. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and Backend Engineers to build engaging, high-performance user interfaces that drive value for our users in the freight and logistics industry.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Collaboration (30–50%)

• Supervise and mentor a team of 5 frontend engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and feedback to support team growth and performance.
• Define and uphold front-end architecture, coding standards, and best practices across the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PMs, designers, backend engineers) to align on product vision, scope, and technical feasibility.
• Lead sprint planning, technical estimation, and solution design discussions.
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features and improvements.
  
  

Hands-on Development (50–70%)

• Write, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and scalable front-end code using modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js and/or React.
• Optimize performance, responsiveness, and accessibility of our web applications.
• Translate product and UX designs into pixel-perfect, interactive user interfaces.
• Drive continuous improvement in our front-end codebase through refactoring and best practices.
• Stay current with the latest front-end trends and technologies and evaluate their potential application in our product.
  
  

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, primarily in front-end development.
• 2+ years of experience in a technical lead, team lead, or similar supervisory role.
• Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one major front-end framework (Vue.js, React, or both).
• Deep understanding of front-end architecture and component design for scalable applications.
• Familiarity with tools such as Git, Webpack, and modern build/deployment processes.
• Strong UI/UX sensibility and attention to design details and user experience.
• Clear understanding of the boundary between frontend and backend responsibilities (REST APIs, integration patterns, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering discussions, make strategic decisions, and deliver results. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in or knowledge of the freight and logistics industry.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD for front-end development.
• Experience optimizing performance and accessibility in large-scale single-page applications.
