This position combines the responsibilities of preparing high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Golfzon Social is an exciting new Sports Bar and Restaurant anchored by a Golf Lounge with high-tech indoor golf simulators.
Compensation: $18-$21 per hour based on qualifications and experience. Full time employees qualify for medical, dental benefits, and PTO.

Reports to the Director of Food and Beverage and General Manager.
Key Responsibilities

Line Cook Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
- Assist with food prep tasks as needed to ensure kitchen efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to meet service demands.
- Adapt to kitchen needs by taking on additional tasks during slower periods (e.g., restocking, cleaning, or prepping).
- Utilizes whole food products, eliminating any waste.
- Alerts chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner.
- Follows checklists and daily logs.
- Requisitions inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production.
- Ensures proper storage of food items, wraps, dates, and rotates food items.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Must possess high standards of personal hygiene.
- Performs other duties as required by the Kitchen Manager.

Porter Duties:

Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and tools.

Wash dishes, cookware, and utensils, ensuring they are ready for use.

Remove trash and recycling from the kitchen, Bar, Dining Room, and dispose of it properly.

Sweep and mop kitchen floors, dining area, and maintain general cleanliness.

Thorough cleaning of restrooms.

Assist with organizing and restocking supplies.

Always follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, listens, tastes, and smells.
- Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms.
- Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
- Can lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds (team lift).
- Time spent in cold conditions such as a walk-in freezer in subzero temperatures.
Environment/Noise:
- Regularly works in moderate heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
- NYC Food Handlers Certification
- ServSafe Food Manager a huge plus
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preference:

Basic ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).

Basic math ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required, as associates are required to weigh/measure ingredients.
