Role Descriptions: We are looking for an experienced Trino Platform Engineer with strong expertise in managing and optimizing distributed SQL platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Trino cluster administration, cloud deployments, performance tuning, and data platform onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer Trino clusters, including Coordinators, Workers, and Catalog/Connector configurations.
- Perform Trino performance tuning, query optimization, and memory management.
- Monitor cluster health, analyze logs, and perform root cause analysis for production issues.
- Configure and maintain backend catalogs such as Hive, Iceberg, and Big Query.
- Onboard applications and clients onto the Trino Data Discovery Platform.
- Implement authentication and security using Kerberos, LDAP, Ranger Policies, SSL, and access controls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production query failures.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or Concord.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments (GCP preferred).
