Brief Description:
Imani Village through the Imani Green Health Advocate Internship seeks to empower early career professionals with the necessary trade training, professional development, and certifications to become a community health leader. Through our direct partnership with Advocate Health, we have prepared a comprehensive community health experience that allows interns through the course to learn about trending health topics, shadowing community health workers, and directly engage with patients in the Advocate Health network.
Why should you apply? If you feel called to address and learn about chronic illnesses in and around your community while seeking to have more hands-on action, apply here! You will routinely be engaged with a national health institution called Advocate Health to encourage a healthy lifestyle and diet by working on food distribution through their Food Farmacy programming. Additionally, you will have synchronous learning sessions about community health trends and actions currently occurring utilizing Advocate’s knowledge and resources.
Roles and responsibilities:
What you can expect:
- Formalize a presentation about the Social Determinations of Health and other community health related topics
- Shadow community health workers
- Welcoming and aid in Food Farmacy (Food Distribution)
- Research and prepare career planning and advancement
You will be required to complete the following tasks:

Qualifications:
- Ability to carry 15 lbs
