About the role
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Frontend Architecture & Platform Strategy Lead the architectural design of scalable, high-performance frontend applications for modern e-commerce storefronts. Define component architecture, rendering strategies (SSR/ISR/Streaming), state management patterns, and integration approaches with headless commerce APIs and backend services.
Governance & Engineering Standards Establish and enforce frontend engineering standards through regular code and architecture reviews. Ensure adherence to design systems, accessibility standards, performance best practices, and maintainable coding patterns across all frontend implementations.
Performance & User Experience Optimization Architect frontend solutions optimized for performance and reliability under peak traffic conditions. Implement strategies for caching, progressive rendering, asset optimization, and performance monitoring to deliver fast, resilient, and seamless user experiences.
AI-Enabled Development & Innovation Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development practices to improve developer productivity and code quality. Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools for code generation, testing, documentation, and workflow automation.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship Provide technical leadership to frontend engineers and technical leads. Guide architectural decisions, promote best practices, and mentor teams to build scalable, maintainable, and high-quality frontend systems.
Strategic Growth & Sales Support
- Pre-Sales Engineering: Serve as the technical authority during the pre-sales phase, partnering with stakeholders to translate business requirements into viable technical roadmaps and winning client confidence.
- Technical Estimation & Scoping: Develop precise, data-driven technical estimates for Statements of Work (SOWs). Balance resource allocation, timelines, and technical complexity to ensure project profitability and realistic delivery expectations.
- Prototyping & POCs: Lead the execution of Proofs of Concept (POCs) for both prospective sales opportunities and ongoing high-impact projects. Use these prototypes to validate emerging technologies and de-risk complex implementations before full-scale rollout.
WHAT WE NEED IN YOU
- Frontend Engineering Expertise
Strong experience building large-scale frontend applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with modern frameworks such as React and Next.js. - Frontend Architecture Experience
Proven experience defining frontend architecture including component structure, state management, rendering strategies (SSR/ISR), and integration with backend APIs. - Performance & User Experience
Experience optimizing web applications for performance, scalability, and Core Web Vitals, especially in high-traffic environments. - API Integration
Strong experience integrating frontend applications with REST and GraphQL APIs in distributed system environments. - Design Systems & Reusable UI
Experience building and maintaining design systems, reusable component libraries, and scalable UI patterns. - DevOps Awareness
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and deployment workflows for frontend applications. - Technical Leadership
Ability to guide architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and enforce frontend engineering standards across teams.
GOOD TO HAVE
- Backend & API Awareness
Understanding of backend architecture and API design, with familiarity in technologies such as microservices, and distributed systems. - Cloud & Platform Familiarity
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and familiarity with modern deployment environments including containers and CI/CD pipelines.
QUALIFICATION
- Graduate - BE / Btech or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience
- Self motivated and quick learner with excellent problem solving skills.
- A good team player with nice communication skills.
- Energy and real passion to work in a startup environment.
