Summary/Objective
This position is an active indoors position supporting the daily operations of the Retail Department efforts. The Retail Associate assists the Retail Manager in merchandising the shop, becoming knowledgeable of inventory details, welcoming members as they arrive to shop, actively selling product, point of sales operations, handling incoming phone calls, maintaining stock level, organizing the shop look and feel, assisting in quarterly inventory.
Essential Functions
- Open and close retail store.
- Steam and sticker incoming inventory.
- Maintain shop cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain product knowledge.
- Actively participate in the sales process by welcoming and engaging with shoppers and assisting with questions.
- Run shop transactions through retail POS system.
- Answer phone and assist with retail questions.
- Assist guests with special orders.
- Maintain the retail shop in a clean and organized manner, which includes but is not limited to folding and hanging merchandise, cleaning displays and windows, tucking tags into merchandise, vacuuming, and steaming.
- Count quarterly inventory.
- Adhere to all property and department policies and procedures
Marginal Functions
- Assist Retail Manager with employee uniform program.
- Attend staff meetings when required.
- Assist with other departments and miscellaneous club needs upon request.

Supervisory Responsibility
•This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
•This position operates primarily in an indoor setting. You will be required to move boxes and fixtures, which could lead to trips, falls, and injury. Some tasks could require driving to local vendors.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This may be a full-time, part-time, on-call, seasonal or year-round, hourly position. Days and hours of work may vary at approximately 8 hours each day on average and may be adjusted for businessneeds. Ability to work weekends, holidays, days, and nights with flexible hours. Schedule is subject to change, and applicants must be flexible with schedule adjustments. Travel
•Some light driving travel is expected for this position. Distance will not likely exceed 10 miles.
Required Education and Experience
- Prior experience in a customer-centric, customer-facing position is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Previous experience in a resort or hotel setting is preferred.
- Previous experience in a professional retail setting is preferred.
- Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Work Authorization
•Must have valid work authorization to work in the United States for I-9 form purposes.
