Summary/Objective
The Hostess is primarily a front-of-house role responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere while managing guest seating, reservations, and service flow. This role acts as the first point of contact to the membership. This role is perfect for the person who has a passion for hospitality. It will require strong multitasking skills, knowledge of all menus, and enjoyment from engaging with members and their guests. The Hostess may also support as needed, the service staff of both Eddy and Drake restaurants with food running and server assistant tasks as business levels require.
Essential Functions
- Provide a warm and sophisticated welcome, leveraging member names and personal preference to create a personalized “home away from home” atmosphere.
- Manage, organize, and track reservations and floor plans to ensure timely seating and even distribution.
- Welcome members and their guests, escorting them to tables, and providing menus.
- Answer phones, take to-go orders, and schedule reservations.
- Maintain knowledge of daily operations, hours of operation, Club calendar, and department functions to assist with member inquiries.
- Enhance member experience by providing knowledgeable recommendations.
- Identify and document member preferences in the POS system to ensure a seamless experience across the Club F&B outlets.
- Organize and clean member-facing areas, as well as the back-of-house stations.
- Set up and break down events, including relocating furniture and setting up decorations and food service stations or buffets.
- Ensure all opening and closing side-work checklists are completed, ensuring the next shift is set up for success.
- Become familiar with member needs before being voiced, maintaining a high level of presence.
- Report member feedback or facility needs to Club management for immediate resolution.

- Report for every shift in a neat and clean uniform with well-groomed hair and personal hygiene, and appropriate placement of name tags.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position operates in a restaurant setting, both indoors and outdoors. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This may be a full-time, part-time, or on-call hourly position. Days and hours of work are typically afternoons into the early evening and may be adjusted for business needs. Ability to work weekends, holidays, days, and nights with flexible hours is required, and schedule is subject to change to meet business needs. Applicants must be flexible with schedule adjustments.

Required Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent. Previous restaurant experience required.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant, Club or lounge with high service standards preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must be fluent in English speaking, reading and writing.
Work Authorization
Must have valid work authorization to work in the United States for I-9 form purposes.
