Responsibilities

1. Scale: Design and develop scalable backend systems which can handle billions of transactions. Implement caching and load balancers.
2. Performance: Tackling complexities of Web3, decentralization while making performant systems facilitating a differentiating user experience
3. Reliability: Design fault-tolerant backend architectures using microservices or other suitable patterns.
4. Functionalities : Implement backend systems for enabling core functionalities of the L1 chain, including modules for consensus, governance, staking, and token economics.
5. Automation : Implement automation tools and frameworks for deploying, managing, and monitoring blockchain nodes, services, and related infrastructure components. Ensure code is properly built, tested, and deployed across environments
6. Cloud Management : Manage cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and optimize resource utilization. Monitor and scale resources as needed to accommodate network growth and demands
7. Monitoring and Alerts : Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure proactive identification and resolution of performance bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, and issues
8. Security : Collaborate with teams to implement best practices for securing blockchain infrastructure, nodes, and data. Perform regular security assessments and audits
9. Collaboration : Work closely with software engineers, blockchain developers, and other cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical support, and optimize operations

• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines for the backend team.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.

1. Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure architecture, processes, and procedures. Create runbooks for troubleshooting and incident response
2. Research and Innovation : Stay informed about the latest advancements in backend technologies and DevOps practices. Identify opportunities to enhance and optimize our infrastructure

Requirements

1. Backend Experience : 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer in product companies, with a strong focus on back-end development using Node.js, Express.js, Go

• Experience in building distributed systems

1. Blockchain Inclination : Professional as well as non-professional experience in building blockchain related applications
2. Cloud Platforms : Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services. Certification is a plus
3. Monitoring and Logging : Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and APM solutions
4. Security Mindset : Understanding of security best practices, network security, and implements security measures for blockchain networks
5. Design : Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
6. Database : Proficient in working with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and knowledge of SQL query optimization
7. Collaboration : Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
8. Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Relevant certifications in DevOps or cloud technologies are advantageous

Nice to have

1. Experience in building scalable fintech products
2. Proficiency in working with decentralized protocols, such as IPFS, Ethereum, etc.
3. Experience in multi-chain crypto wallets
4. Experience with Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol
