Tri Pointe Homes is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join our talented group as a Data Warehouse Engineer.

 

Data Warehouse Engineer, Irvine CA 

 

Position Responsibilities: Design, build and maintain database structure/data warehouse models, transformations, and integrations and efficiently manage the nuances of a cloud database platform. Develop, test, enhance and maintain complex data solutions of lasting value, including dimensional data marts. Maintain/support reliable data integration and retrieval. Employ agile development with modern data warehousing techniques and technologies to deliver lean yet highly flexible and functional solutions. Conduct technical analysis and develop solution options. Document key technical metadata and test scripts. Partner closely with analysts and contractors while helping set and enforce high quality standards, incl. serving as technical SME (Subject Matter Expert) of key technologies and data sources across multiple business domains. Standardize key metrics and dimensions within data structures and business intelligence solutions and simplify complex analysis. Collaborate concurrently on multiple projects to produce quality solutions and demonstrate initiative and effectiveness in problem solving.

 

Qualifications:  THIS POSITION REQUIRES A BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, MATH, COMPUTER ENGINEERING PLUS 3 YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE IN DATA WAREHOUSE ENGINEER, BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (BI) DATA ANALYST, DATA ANALYST, OR RELATED OCCUPATION. IN THE ALTERNATIVE, THE EMPLOYER WILL ACCEPT A MASTER’S DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, MATH, COMPUTER ENGINEERING, PLUS 1 YEAR OF WORK EXPERIENCE IN DATA WAREHOUSE ENGINEER, BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (BI) DATA ANALYST, DATA ANALYST, OR RELATED OCCUPATION.

 

Special Requirements: REQUIRED EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE OF:

  1. Creating and maintaining code around data warehouse development, data integrations, and data modelling.
  2. Advanced SQL knowledge.
  3. Demonstrated data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) skills.
  4. Advanced skills in SSIS (Sequel Server Integration Services) platform;).
  5. Proficiency in Python coding language for data transformations, data libraries, and data science.
  6. Demonstrated knowledge/abilities in SQL Server DB.

 

MUST POSSESS EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE SUFFICIENT TO ADEQUATELY PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB BEING OFFERED. EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE MAY BE GAINED THROUGH EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE OR EDUCATION. SUCH EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE CANNOT BE "QUANTIFIED" BY "TIME”.

Salary:                 $118,331- $184,000/year
