🕒 Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Every other Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Position Summary
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Supervisor to lead warehouse operations and ensure the smooth shipping and delivery of materials. In this role, you’ll oversee daily logistics activities, coordinate transportation and inventory, and manage warehouse personnel to keep operations running efficiently.
This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and enjoys balancing operations, people management, and process improvement.
What You’ll Do
Logistics & Operations
- Coordinate all shipping and receiving activities
- Oversee loading/unloading of materials and delivery scheduling
- Manage inventory to ensure proper stock levels for site support
- Maintain communication with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, and brokers
- Set up delivery routes and ensure timely distribution
Purchasing & Contract Support
- Manage purchase requests and purchase orders
- Oversee subcontracting activities through purchase orders
- Coordinate all phases of purchasing operations
- Ensure compliance with purchasing procedures and regulations
Warehouse & Compliance
- Maintain control of government-furnished equipment and inventories
- Conduct property inventories and surveys
- Ensure proper handling and distribution of hazardous materials
- Support cafeteria operations and funds management
Team & Administrative Support
- Supervise warehouse personnel and support staff
- Provide backup administrative support as needed
- Complete special assignments as directed
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- One year of post-secondary education preferred
- 4+ years of experience in purchasing, shipping/receiving
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 6 years accepted
Licenses
- Valid Driver’s License (required)
- Ability to operate a vehicle for company business
Background Requirements
- General Background Check
- Office of Inspector General (OIG) / CMMS Exclusions Check
- Driving Record (MVR)
- Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Security Screening
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
- Knowledge of inventory systems and barcode procedures
- Understanding of government property and Army regulations (AR 710-2-1, AR 735-5)
- Experience with DOD forms and DITMS systems preferred
- Familiarity with hazardous materials shipping procedures
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured environment
