About the role

Summary

Uses lean techniques to plan and schedule equipment, human and material resources for all jobs. Drives on time delivery and profitability using a customer-focused approach in all decisions. Acts as the liaison between all departments in the company and customers to execute an order after it has been placed. 

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Schedules all production orders and developmental jobs using visual and computer communications.
  • Maintains and refines tools for monitoring equipment and labor capacity, identifying and escalating conflicts where needed
  • Drives on time delivery; works closely with production, FQC, and shipping to assure this.
  • Acts as a key promoter of the customer.
  • Prepares master production schedule and work orders for Production and Engineering Orders.
  • Establishes priorities for specific customer orders.
  • Releases work orders to manufacturing.
  • Provides dates for customer orders
  • Attends daily operations meetings
  • Coordinates material requirements with purchasing/inventory control and manufacturing operations.
  • Analyzes manufacturing data and prepares reports, as requested.
  • Reviews work orders prior to closing to ensure accuracy.
  • Completes required documentation accurately.
  • Reviews purchase orders and performs all actions associated with processing a customer order including: contract review, order acknowledgment, internal order notification, customer confirmation, order entry, issues in-house shop orders as required, coordinates with shipping and invoicing.
  • Uses Lean Enterprise methods to reduce waste and complexity in all processes.
  • Reviews and manages kanbans
  • Manages expired material

 

Education and Experience

Required:
  •  High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience

Desired:

  • 2-4 year degree in Business, Engineering or related field
  • Experience with clean room manufacturing
  • Production leadership experience
