Machine Operator

Job Description:

Reporting to the Production Manager, Machine Operator is responsible for responsible for setting up and operating machinery and equipment with specified materials or solution(s).

Job Type: Full time, onsite
Schedule: Varies by shift and department
Compensation: Starting hourly rate of $21.00 an hour. Additional shift differentials are offered for 2nd and 3rd shift. A .50 an hour increase is given after 90 days of employment. A $3,000 retention bonus will be paid out in $1,000 increments at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year.

Responsibilities  

• Conform to all safety guidelines and procedures
• Operate equipment according to SOP and specifications provided
• Regulate machine speeds, temperature, air pressure, circulation flow and coatings to material(s), if applicable
• Consistently check material to ensure in-depth quality measures
• Assist in weekly preventative maintenance and cleanings
• Perform barcode functions, as necessary
• Sustain housekeeping guidelines
• Operate warehouse equipment (may apply)
• All other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to climb multiple steps, lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be willing and able to work as a team member
• Basic reading, writing and math skills
• Must be able to be fit for a respirator, if applicable
