About the Job

In your new role you manage and grow the relationship with our most strategic customers in the defined territory. You thrive in fast-paced environment, love working in structured process and think out of the box to find innovative solutions. You are commercially savvy with the ability to understand the Rail market in dynamics and products, ready to make a strategic impact.

In this role, you’ll be part of an international team, collaborating with colleagues and key stakeholders across departments worldwide. You are not only culturally aware and adaptable but also thrive in a global setting—communicating effectively across time zones, functions, and backgrounds.

The role goes beyond regular account management—it’s about becoming a trusted advisor, driving mutual growth, and aligning our strategic customer’s business goals with our current and future offerings.


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for the strategic account.
  • Build and maintain strong, senior-level relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Represent the customer’s voice internally.

Account Strategy & Growth

  • Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business, goals, and challenges.
  • Create and execute an account plan focused on long-term value creation.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, or new solution areas.

Cross-functional Coordination

  • Coordinate internal teams (sales, product, operations, service) to deliver a seamless experience.
  • Ensure commitments are met and quality is consistently high.

Contract & Performance Management

  • Negotiate contracts, renewals, and commercial terms.
  • Monitor KPIs and ensure the account is meeting agreed performance targets.
  • Proactively address issues and ensure client satisfaction.

Strategic Alignment

  • Work closely with the customer on joint initiatives or co-development opportunities.
  • Align the strategic account’s roadmap with the company’s product/service direction.


About you / your experience

  • Completed a technical education, preferably a university degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in Sales of engineered products.
  • Experience in project business.
  • Proven track record of managing large or strategic B2B accounts.
  • Good organization, time-management and forward planning.
  • Very good understanding of business economics.
  • Excellent English communications skills (both written and verbal), further languages would be nice.
  • Strong sales and people skills, very customer and service minded.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working within a global organization.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% within the defined territory.
