Role Overview
The Senior Manager / Manager will support the effective management of liquidity, funding, regulatory compliance, and risk within the treasury function. This role is critical for enabling capital efficiency and financial sustainability across diversified NBFC operations including digital lending, housing finance, MSME loans, and payment services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Liquidity & Fund Management
- Assist in implementing liquidity strategies tailored to varied business verticals (digital lending, housing, MSME, and PPI operations).
- Monitor daily cash flows, short-term and long-term funding needs across portfolios.
- Support in sourcing funds via bank borrowings, NCDs, CPs, and bonds, in line with segment-specific needs.
- Work on funding models for different asset classes based on maturity profiles and risk.
- Maintain liquidity buffers as per business seasonality and RBI norms.
- Liaise with banks, rating agencies, and financial partners to support fund-raising activities.
2. Risk & ALM
- Contribute to the ALM framework and ensure timely updates of cash flow mismatches and interest rate gaps.
- Conduct periodic stress testing and scenario analysis across business verticals.
- Monitor risk concentrations and escalate deviations from internal risk appetite.
- Support in managing liquidity risks specific to payment and PPI operations.
3. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of regulatory returns (ALM, SBL, Liquidity, etc.).
- Support audits, inspections, and internal reviews pertaining to treasury operations.
- Track regulatory updates (RBI, FEMA, etc.) and implement related process changes.
- Monitor and help maintain Capital Adequacy, Leverage, and Liquidity ratios.
4. Strategy & Analysis
- Assist in preparing annual funding plans and cost of funds analysis.
- Provide market insights related to interest rates, credit markets, and macro indicators.
- Support pricing decisions and business unit profitability through treasury inputs.
- Participate in digitization initiatives, automation, and treasury process enhancements.
5. Stakeholder Management & Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams – finance, credit, risk, and compliance – to ensure smooth treasury operations.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners including banks, rating agencies, and auditors.
- Represent treasury in cross-functional projects and internal committee meetings (ALCO, Risk Committee) as required.
Education & Experience
Educational Qualifications:
- CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA
- Certifications in treasury, ALM, or risk (FRM, PRM) preferred
Experience:
- 8–12 years of experience in treasury functions within NBFCs or financial institutions
- Exposure to diversified lending portfolios (secured/unsecured) and multiple business lines
- Experience in fundraising through multiple instruments (NCDs, CPs, bank lines)
