Role OverviewWe are looking for a highly driven and operationally strong professional who can independently manage the complete lifecycle of group travel business across Leisure Groups, Corporate / MICE, Student Groups, Religious Groups, Special Interest Groups, and Fixed Departures.
This role requires someone who understands travel beyond quotations — someone who can conceptualize, sell, negotiate, coordinate, operate, and successfully deliver group experiences end-to-end.
The ideal candidate should possess strong destination knowledge, supplier understanding, commercial acumen, operational maturity, and customer-handling capability. The person should be able to confidently advise clients on what works best for different group types, recommend the right hotels and experiences, anticipate challenges, and ensure seamless execution from inquiry to delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesGroup Sales & Requirement Understanding- Interact with travel agents, corporates, institutions, and direct customers to understand detailed travel requirements.
- Identify group objectives, budgets, traveler profiles, expectations, and operational needs.
- Suggest destinations, routing, hotels, experiences, and activities best suited for each group type.
- Provide consultative inputs such as:
- Best areas to stay
- Ideal hotel combinations
- Must-do experiences
- Experiences to avoid
- Seasonal recommendations
- Operational practicality
Itinerary Planning & Costing- Create customized itineraries for:
- Leisure Groups
- Corporate / MICE Groups
- Student Groups
- Religious Groups
- Special Interest / Private Groups
- Fixed Departures
- Coordinate with DMCs, hotels, transporters, attractions, and local suppliers for quotations.
- Negotiate rates, inclusions, value additions, and operational deliverables.
- Rework itineraries and costing based on customer feedback and budget expectations.
- Ensure commercially viable pricing while maintaining product quality.
Product & Destination Expertise- Maintain strong understanding of destinations, hotel categories, attractions, logistics, restaurants, and local experiences.
- Understand suitability of products for different traveler profiles.
- Recommend operationally efficient and guest-friendly routing.
- Build and maintain strong supplier and DMC relationships.
Group Closure & Handover- Follow up consistently to close group business.
- Handle client negotiations and objections professionally.
- Ensure complete booking confirmations and operational documentation.
- Coordinate internal handovers wherever required while retaining ownership of the group.
Group Operations & Execution- Handle end-to-end operations post confirmation.
- Coordinate with suppliers, transport teams, tour managers, and destination partners.
- Ensure all bookings, vouchers, rooming lists, meal plans, transfers, sightseeing, and special requests are executed accurately.
- Manage operational escalations and troubleshoot during travel.
- Ensure smooth on-ground delivery and customer satisfaction.
Destination Delivery & Service Management- Monitor groups actively during travel.
- Ensure seamless guest experiences across hotels, sightseeing, meals, transport, and events.
- Coordinate emergency handling and contingency management when required.
- Collect feedback and work toward service improvement.
