Role Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional responsible for building, validating, and managing a high-quality database of tour & travel companies, hotels, and related stakeholders. This role involves both online research and calling existing contacts to verify and update information, ensuring accurate and usable data for our B2B travel exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Research & Lead Generation
- Conduct online research to identify:
- Tour operators, travel agencies
- Hotels, resorts, homestays
- Travel technology companies
- Adventure travel and tourism service providers
- Source data from websites, LinkedIn, directories, travel portals, and industry listings
- Build and maintain a structured database of potential exhibitors and visitors
2. Database Validation (Calling Role)
- Call existing database contacts to:
- Verify company details (name, location, services)
- Confirm key decision-makers (owner, marketing head, sales head)
- Update contact details (phone number, email, website)
- Re-engage inactive or old leads
- Maintain clear call notes and status updates
3. Data Management & Segmentation
- Clean, organize, and categorize data into segments:
- Domestic / International travel
- Hotels / Resorts / Chains
- Travel tech / SaaS
- Niche segments (adventure, luxury, MICE, etc.)
- Ensure data accuracy and eliminate duplicates
- Prepare data for CRM and marketing campaigns
4. Coordination & Support
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams for outreach campaigns
- Share verified leads for exhibitor acquisition
- Track competitor exhibitions and identify potential participants
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Travel & Tourism, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in:
- Data research / lead generation and/or
- Tele-calling / customer interaction
- Strong communication skills (important for calling role)
- Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets
- Comfortable with cold/warm calling and follow-ups
- Good attention to detail and data accuracy
