Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Hotel and Transfer Contracting Manager to join our team at Redwood Edutours. As a Hotel and Transfer Contracting Manager, you will be responsible for procuring and managing hotel accommodations and transfer services for our educational tours. Your expertise will help us provide comfortable and convenient travel experiences for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and negotiate hotel rates and contracts with hotels and accommodation providers
- Manage hotel room blocks and allocations for tour groups
- Coordinate with tour operators and travel coordinators to ensure smooth hotel check-ins and transfers
- Research and contract transfer services (e.g. coaches, buses, taxis) for airport transfers and local transportation
- Ensure timely and efficient transfer services for tour groups
- Develop and maintain relationships with hotel and transfer service providers
- Analyze and optimize hotel and transfer contracting processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company policies and travel regulations
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in hotel or transfer contracting, travel management, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, room allocation, and transfer services
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. Hospitality, Travel and Tourism, Business Administration)
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with educational tour operators or travel companies
- Knowledge of travel technology and booking systems
- Certification in travel management (e.g. ARC, IATA)
- Familiarity with hotel and transfer service providers in various regions
