Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Travel Consultant role based in Kolkata. The Travel Consultant will advise clients on destinations and travel options, design tailored itineraries, and coordinate complete travel arrangements including transport, accommodation, and activities. The role involves handling reservations, managing booking changes and cancellations, and ensuring accurate documentation and timely confirmations. The Travel Consultant will provide responsive customer service before, during, and after trips, resolve issues, and maintain clear communication with travelers, suppliers, and internal teams. The position also includes updating product knowledge, staying informed about regional tourism offerings, and contributing to process improvements and sales initiatives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Travel Consulting and Travel Management skills, with the ability to design and optimize itineraries.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Travel Arrangements, including transport, accommodation, and activity coordination.
- Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, ensuring professional, empathetic, and solution-oriented support.
- Candidates should possess Reservations skills, including experience with booking systems and maintaining accurate records.
- Relevant education in travel, tourism, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English and local languages, with the ability to explain options clearly to diverse clients.
- Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle multiple bookings simultaneously.
- Knowledge of domestic destinations across West Bengal, Sikkim, Bhutan, Andaman, and the Northeast is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency with basic office software and willingness to learn new reservation or CRM tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with on-site teams and external partners in a fast-paced environment.
