Job Summary

TransTech is seeking a Data & Analytics Intern to support our Microsoft Fabric implementation and help develop Power BI reporting for the business. This internship offers hands-on experience working with data pipelines, dashboards, and modern analytics tools that support business decisions.

The intern will work closely with the Manager of Business Analysis and Process and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, organize, and analyze business data from multiple sources. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build practical experience in data analytics and business intelligence within a manufacturing and engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities Data Collection And Management

• Assist in gathering data from systems such as Smartsheet, Syteline (ERP), Salesforce, and Procore.
• Help clean and prepare datasets for use in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
• Support efforts to organize data into a centralized structure (Data Lake and Data Warehouse).
• Assist with checking data for accuracy and consistency.
  
  

Power BI And Data Analysis Visualization

• Support the development of Power BI dashboards and visualizations for business users.
• Help design simple reports and modify current reports for needed specifications for Finance, Operations, and Project Management teams.
• Work with users to test the design of reports and confirm technical requirements have been met
  
  

Microsoft Fabric Support

• Assist in the setup and organization of objects (like dataflows, warehouses, and reports) within Microsoft Fabric.
• Learn how Fabric integrates data from various systems and supports real-time reporting.
• Work with outside consultant on API development and testing.
  
  

General Analytics Support

• Help run queries (using SQL or Excel) to answer business questions.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis for financial and operational reporting.
• Participate in meetings with business users to understand data needs and follow up with analysis.
  
  

Competencies

• Coursework or hands-on experience with Power BI, Excel, or SQL is a plus.
• Familiarity with business software tools like Smartsheet, Salesforce, or ERP systems is helpful but not required.
• Curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about data systems in a real-world business setting.
  
  

Education/Experience

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
