ICT Summer Intern Programme 2025/26

Calling all Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering Science or Data Science students! Enjoy real work, and gain an understanding of the technology that powers New Zealand. Transpower aims to empower the energy future for New Zealand by delivering a net-zero carbon economy and a reliable electricity system. The Information Services and Technology (IST) division supports grid operations, corporate processes, and data analytics to drive data-informed decision-making. ICT Summer Interns play a crucial role in developing future software engineers and technologists. Working towards a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering Science, or Data Science with a GPA of 5.5 or higher. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Genuine interest in working in ICT at Transpower and enabling the energy future. Studying at a New Zealand university and eligible to work in New Zealand.
