Role Description The Transportation Planner will work full time on-site in Guwahati, contributing to transportation planning projects that support smart city and infrastructure initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing transportation networks, assessing land use and mobility patterns, and developing integrated transportation plans aligned with regional and urban planning objectives. The role involves preparing technical reports, maps, and presentations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting data-driven decision-making using analytical tools. The Transportation Planner will also engage with stakeholders to understand local needs, recommend improvements for public and freight transport systems, and ensure alignment with regulatory and sustainability standards.
Education
M.Plan in Transportation Planning/ M.Tech in Transportation Engineering with Bachelor degree in Architecture in Civil
With 0-2 years of work experience
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Transportation Planning and Regional Planning skills.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Urban Planning and Land Use principles.
- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills for data interpretation, modeling, and visualization.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
- Proficiency with GIS and transportation modeling or analysis tools is highly beneficial.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly in written reports and presentations.
- Experience working with government agencies or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams on-site.
