Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator to manage and oversee daily transportation operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating logistics, optimizing routes, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate transportation schedules, routes, and vehicle allocations
Monitor and track vehicle movements to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
Coordinate with drivers, transport vendors, and clients for smooth operations
Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards
Address and resolve transport-related issues such as delays, breakdowns, and driver concerns
Optimize transportation costs and recommend process improvements
Prepare and submit regular reports on transportation activities to management
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in transport or logistics coordination
Strong understanding of route planning, vehicle management, and transport regulations
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and logistics/transport management systems
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively
