Job ObjectiveTo execute and manage the assigned section of Transmission Line projects by ensuring timely completion within approved cost, quality, and safety standards. The role focuses on achieving planned productivity while ensuring zero harm and strict adherence to organizational processes and statutory requirements.
Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesProject Execution & Planning- Execute the Transmission Line section as per approved schedules, ensuring compliance with defined productivity, cost, and quality benchmarks.
- Prepare and review weekly and monthly Level-2 (L2) execution plans, including manpower, material, and equipment requirements.
- Monitor daily site progress and ensure alignment with project timelines and milestones.
Survey & Engineering Coordination- Conduct and review survey works and cross-verify field data related to tower locations, extensions, and profile corrections.
- Identify and manage major crossings such as National Highways, Railways, rivers, and other critical locations.
- Ensure avoidance of immovable assets within the Right of Way (ROW) corridor through accurate survey validation.
Manpower & Resource Management- Mobilize and deploy manpower for Foundation, Erection, and Stringing activities as per project requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure optimal utilization of resources.
Land & Statutory Coordination- Review land compensation cases and verify land ownership documents.
- Coordinate with administrative authorities such as Patwari, Tehsildar, and SDM for land-related clearances and ownership verification.
- Arrange administrative and local support wherever required for uninterrupted project execution.
Quality Management- Ensure compliance with approved Field Quality Plans (FQP).
- Implement quality standards as per applicable IS Codes (IS 5613), CBIP Manual, and other statutory guidelines.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and audits at site.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)- Ensure effective implementation of the approved Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) plan.
- Promote a “Zero Harm” culture across the site.
- Conduct regular safety toolbox talks, training sessions, and safety audits at site level.
Reporting & MIS- Prepare and submit Daily and Monthly MIS reports as per management requirements.
- Track key performance indicators and escalate deviations in a timely manner.
Risk & Issue Management- Identify execution bottlenecks and potential risks at an early stage.
- Propose and implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid last-minute challenges.
- Plan and coordinate timely shutdowns and follow up with concerned stakeholders.
Team Development- Conduct regular safety and quality awareness programs at site for skill and capability development.
- Mentor and guide team members to improve performance and execution excellence.
Educational Qualification- BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Experience & Knowledge Requirements- 5–12 years of relevant experience in Transmission Line project execution.
- Strong exposure to Foundation, Erection, and Stringing activities.
- Sound understanding of prudent industrial practices.
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations, statutory requirements, IS Codes (IS 5613), and CBIP Manual.
- Experience in managing site teams and multiple stakeholders.
