Transition Manager
Role Overview: The Transition Manager will support the planning and execution of technology role transitions into the India GCC. The role will work closely with onshore stakeholders, India delivery teams, hiring managers, vendors and functional SMEs to enable smooth knowledge transfer, hiring readiness, onboarding, transition tracking and stabilization across technology functions such as software engineering, QA, data engineering, cloud/DevOps, RPA/automation, production support and AI/GenAI.
Key Responsibilities
§ Support end-to-end transition planning across assigned technology workstreams, including KT planning, shadowing, reverse shadowing, onboarding and go-live readiness.
§ Coordinate with hiring managers and recruiters to translate role requirements into sourcing inputs, must-have skills, desired skills and profile calibration notes.
§ Track transition milestones, dependencies, risks, open actions and readiness status across roles and teams.
§ Support documentation of process flows, runbooks, SOPs, application knowledge, support models and operational handover materials.
§ Work with onshore and India SMEs to ensure knowledge transfer sessions are scheduled, completed and documented.
§ Monitor ramp-up progress for new joiners and support issue resolution during transition and stabilization.
§ Coordinate across multiple technical towers including engineering, QA, Data & Analytics, automation, DevOps, SRE and AI/GenAI teams.
§ Prepare regular status updates, governance trackers, RAID logs and transition dashboards for leadership review
Qualifications and experience
§ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, Operations or related field.
§ 4-6+ years of experience in technology delivery, transition management, program coordination, PMO or GCC setup support.
§ Prior experience supporting offshore / India GCC transitions, captive setup, insourcing or vendor-to-GCC movement preferred.
§ Experience working with global stakeholders, especially US–India distributed teams.
§ Exposure to Agile delivery, Jira, sprint ceremonies, delivery governance and technology project coordination
§ Experience supporting transitions/ setups involving AI/GenAI COE, OIA workflows, RPA/automation COE, Data and Analytics, data platforms or cloud-native engineering teams
Good to have experience/ skillsets
§ Healthcare and insurance domain experience
§ Prior consulting / GCC advisory / transformation program experience
§ PMP, PgMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, ITIL or cloud certifications are a plus
