ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a proactive and technically sound Quality Testing & Production Engineer to support transformer manufacturing operations. The role involves testing, inspection, production planning, documentation, and customer coordination for Distribution, Power, and Inverter Duty Transformers (Three/Five winding types).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform routine, type, and special electrical tests as per IS/IEC standards for Distribution, Power, and Inverter Duty Transformers.
• Conduct voltage, capacity, continuity, insulation resistance, dry-type, and rating verification testing.
• Inspect components visually and dimensionally to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Read, interpret, and work with electrical drawings, technical documents, and international testing standards.
• Prepare, configure, and calibrate testing equipment; maintain calibration logs.
• Prepare detailed NABL-compliant test reports and quality documentation.
• Plan and monitor production workflow to ensure timely output and targeted productivity.
• Identify production challenges, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Reject and report materials or components not meeting quality standards.
• Collaborate with fabrication, design, and QA teams to drive continuous improvements.
• Interact with customers and inspection agencies for successful FAT/inspection completion.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional industrial environment.
• Travel as required for inspections, customer coordination, or site assignments.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Strong technical knowledge of Distribution, Power, and Inverter Duty Transformers (Three/Five winding).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications.
• Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and technical documentation skills.
• Good communication ability for customer-facing interactions.
• Experience with NABL documentation and processes is an added advantage.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Both freshers and experienced candidates may apply.
