We operate the world’s largest aluminium plant at Jharsuguda, Odisha, with aluminium smelting capacity of 1.85 MTPA and an associated 3615 MW thermal power generation facility. It is the only Indian smelter in the global ‘1 Million Tonne’ production and export club, and a leader in value-added aluminium products that find critical applications across a diverse array of industries.
To partner with us in this exciting journey and unlock new values for the business, we are looking for passionate professionals for the Transformational Leadership Position, Vedanta Jharsuguda.
Roles & Responsibilities:
To strengthen critical functional and technical capabilities by hiring 5–6 high-impact domain experts across key business and support functions at Vedanta Aluminium Jharsuguda, enabling operational excellence, risk mitigation, and long-term capability building.
Strategic Rationale:
- Business Continuity & Risk Mitigation: Reduce dependency on external consultants and legacy knowledge holders in high-risk, high-complexity domains.
- Operational & Cost Excellence: Faster diagnostics, improved uptime, optimized processes, and cost efficiencies driven by domain expertise.
- Transformation & Capability Building: Enable digital, ESG, automation, and advanced analytics initiatives while coaching internal talent.
- Target Departments/Domains: Smelter Operations (Potline, Carbon, Cast House), Power Plant Operations & Maintenance, Enabling functions (Supply Chain & Logistics, Finance, Commercial, Legal & Regulatory Affairs, HSE)
Education Qualification | Work-Ex| Desired Attributes:
- 12+ years of deep, hands-on experience in relevant industries such as Metals, Energy, Manufacturing, EPCs, OEMs, or Global Conglomerates
- Strong execution focus, driving results through prioritization, planning, resource alignment, and cross‑functional collaboration, supported by solid business acumen
- Recognized subject matter expert with strong execution capability, problem-solving acumen, and exposure to best-in-class practices
- Strategic thinker, capable of defining and communicating a long‑term vision aligned to business objectives
- 60% & above across education background with only 1 yr of education gap
