Summary/Objective:
The Project Management position is responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of projects.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Ensure resource availability and proper allocation.
• Develop detailed project plans to track progress.
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
• Manage relationships with clients and all stakeholders.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors and customers.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Areas of Accountability:
• Detailed project planning and documentation, including defining tasks, milestones, and required resources.
• Coordinate, organize, and liaise with all internal and external resources (Implementation, SA, customer personnel, Product, partners, etc.) throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain regular and structured communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Ongoing management of project tasks and milestones to ensure delivery within scope, on time, and within budget.
• Track and document progress, and communicate project status updates to key stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets and resources to ensure timely completion of milestones.
• Oversee ongoing change management, including documenting and communicating changes to scope or budget.
• Identify and manage project risks.
• Close projects and ensure proper documentation is completed.
• Maintain regular and accurate time logging.
Project Manager Levels:
1. Junior Project Manager
• Experience: 1–3 years of project management experience or relevant internship experience.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business, Management, or Engineering.
• Assists in the planning, execution, and closure of projects under the supervision of a Senior Project Manager.
• Supports coordination of internal resources and third parties/vendors.
• Helps develop project plans and track progress.
• Assists in managing project documentation.
• Participates in regular communication with stakeholders.
• Supports risk and change management processes.
• Ensures accurate time logging and reporting.
2. Project Manager
• Experience: 3–5 years of project management experience, including managing medium-sized projects.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
• Manages medium-sized projects or sub-projects independently.
• Develops detailed project plans and manages execution.
• Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors.
• Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Manages relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Performs risk management and escalates issues as needed.
• Maintains comprehensive project documentation.
• Communicates project status regularly to stakeholders and management.
3. Senior Project Manager
• Experience: 5+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record of managing large and complex projects.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred. PMP certification required; additional certifications such as PMI-ACP are an asset.
• Manages large and complex projects, often involving multiple teams or workstreams.
• Oversees the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
• Leads planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure activities.
• Ensures resource availability and allocation across projects.
• Uses advanced techniques to manage changes in scope, schedule, and costs.
• Measures performance and implements corrective actions as needed.
• Manages relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Conducts thorough risk management to minimize project risks.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with third parties/vendors.
• Mentors and provides guidance to junior project managers.
• Reports status and escalates issues to senior management as needed.
