Location: Kolkata (100% Work from Office)
Shift: 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM (night shift) | One-side cab drop provided at 2:00 AM
12:00 AM – 9 AM (ghost shift) | One-side cab drop provided at 12:00 AM
Experience: 3–5 years preferred (freshers to 8+ years considered — see levels below)
Education: Graduate (minimum); B.Com / M.Com preferred
Joining: Immediate joiners ONLY (notice period ending within one week, or already relieved)
About the Role
We are hiring for a back-office banking operations team that supports a bank in handling Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) related processes on customer accounts. The role involves actioning LEA notices, managing Whereabouts Unknown (WOU) customer account operations, and executing account freezing/unfreezing as per regulatory and legal instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, identify, read, and interpret notices from law enforcement agencies and action them on customer bank accounts
- Execute freezing and unfreezing of retail bank accounts in line with LEA instructions and banking procedures
- Manage operations relating to Whereabouts Unknown (WOU) customer accounts
- Draft and send written responses/replies to LEA notices, legal orders, and search orders
- Carry out retail banking back-office transaction processing with accuracy and within timelines
- Maintain professional email correspondence in English
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory:
- Understanding of banking, banking operations, and customer accounts
- Retail banking operations experience — back office (not account opening / front office / sales)
- Ability to identify, read, and make sense of legal/LEA notices
- Good English — able to converse and write professional emails
Highly Preferred:
- Direct experience with LEA notices, account freeze/unfreeze, and WOU customer operations
- Experience in dedicated back-office operations centres of retail banks such as Bandhan, ICICI, Back offices of HDFC, Axis, or similar Indian private banks
