About the Role:
The Utility Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency of a corporate / manufacturing facility. This position ensures that all workspaces, equipment, and common areas are kept in optimal condition to support smooth production processes. The Utility Porter is responsible for the timely removal of waste, transportation of materials, and assisting various departments with logistical support. By performing these duties diligently, the Utility Porter helps to create a safe and productive environment for all employees. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall effectiveness and reputation of the manufacturing operation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. (repetative)
- Basic understanding of workplace safety standards and practices.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality. Must have valid drivers license.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in custodial, facilities, housekeeping environment.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
