Job Responsibility of Training & Monitoring officer
Position Title
Training Officer – Cervical Cancer Prevention & HPV Vaccination Awareness Programme
Location
New Delhi (National Office) with travel to project states if required.
Reporting To
Project Team Lead
Position Summary
The Training Officer will be responsible for designing, coordinating and delivering all capacity-building initiatives under the Cervical Cancer Prevention and HPV Vaccination Awareness Programme. The role will ensure that project teams, teachers, peer educators, Youth Health Innovation Lab Champions, frontline workers and other stakeholders are equipped with the knowledge, skills and facilitation techniques required to effectively deliver programme interventions.
The Training Officer will develop competency-based training modules, facilitate Training of Trainers (ToT), standardize training quality across intervention states, and ensure that all learning materials are aligned with Government of India guidelines, Girl Effect's behaviour change approach, and evidence-based Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) principles.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop the overall capacity-building strategy for the project.
• Lead the processes for assessing training needs. and then planning, organizing and coordinating the implementation of training program
• Design training strategy for new staff and ongoing capacity building sessions for operators to maintain and advance core and to augment existing skills. knowledge, and capacity on specific areas.
• Coordinate and facilitate partner training in the area of specialty During the induction training for new staff members and as part of continuous training for existing staff members.
• Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output;
Develop monitoring and impact indicator for the project success:
• Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results:
• Develop training monitoring tools, attendance formats and pre/post assessment questionnaires.
· Assess participant knowledge gain and training effectiveness.
• Guide district team in preparing work schedules on a regular basis and maintain necessary documentation.
• Provide feedback on the project strategies and activities:
• Suggest strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks:
Report monthly, quarterly. half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the Project Director/Project Leaders
• Conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation system Develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the project:
• Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other report
• Support monitoring and evaluation of the effects and impact of the project;
• Assist in coordinating across the available components of the Project to ensure effective implementation.
• Preparation of monthly Monitoring and training reports;
• Organize and conduct training for project and stall
Provide input and update information related to project outcome
• Flag operational, programmatic, stall performance issues to management;
• Undertaking such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature from time to time as may be required. in consultation with the organization
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Development Studies or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7–8 years of experience in training, capacity building and facilitation, preferably in public health, adolescent health, education or behaviour change programmes.
- Experience developing training curricula and conducting Training of Trainers (ToT).
- Strong understanding of Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC), adolescent health and community engagement.
- Proficiency in developing digital and blended learning materials.
- Excellent facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
