Senior Training Manager
ZFunds | Gurgaon | Full-Time
Reports to: Head of Learning & Development
About the Role
ZFunds is building a learning infrastructure that connects training directly to business outcomes — for our internal teams and for the MFD partners we serve across India. This role sits at the center of that effort. The Senior Training Manager is responsible for designing, delivering, and tracking training programs that improve performance at every level: new hires, tenured employees, and external MFD partners.
This role carries full ownership — strategic and operational. The Senior Training Manager is expected to shape the learning agenda, not just deliver against it. Equal weight is placed on content creation and facilitation.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Employee Training
- Design and deliver new hire onboarding and induction programs across functions and locations.
- Plan and execute structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs with defined milestones and evaluation checkpoints.
- Identify performance gaps through observation, data, and manager inputs; design targeted interventions.
- Maintain training calendars, attendance records, and completion trackers for all internal programs.
- Coordinate with department heads and HR on training schedules, cohort planning, and performance follow-ups.
MFD Partner Training
- Design and deliver training sessions for ZFunds' MFD partners — covering product knowledge, regulatory compliance, business development, and client communication.
- Support MFD certification pathways including NISM series examinations; plan prep sessions, mock tests, and revision modules.
- Build and maintain a content library of quizzes, case studies, assignments, and reference material mapped to competency levels.
- Provide ongoing mentorship and query resolution support to MFD learners.
- Host webinars and virtual sessions; comfortable appearing on digital platforms as a facilitator and subject matter resource.
Content Development
- Create training decks, facilitation guides, workbooks, assessments, and self-study materials from scratch.
- Convert complex financial and regulatory concepts into plain, learner-ready content.
- Develop and maintain course content on the LMS; ensure materials are current, accurate, and mapped to learning outcomes.
- Review and refresh content periodically based on regulatory updates, product changes, and learner feedback.
Analytics and Reporting
- Track and report on key training metrics: attendance, OJT completion, NISM certification pass rates, MFD activation, and assessment scores.
- Prepare and present training performance reports to the Head of Learning & Development on a regular cadence.
- Use data to identify gaps, prioritize interventions, and measure program effectiveness over time.
Requirements
Experience and Knowledge
- 5+ years of experience in the mutual fund or broader financial services industry, with a focus on training, distribution, or advisory roles.
- Demonstrated experience delivering both internal employee training and external partner or distributor training.
- Strong working knowledge of NISM certifications, AMFI regulatory framework, and industry compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with LMS platforms — content upload, learner tracking, and reporting.
- Prior exposure to new hire onboarding and OJT program design is required.
Skills
- Strong content creation skills — able to build training decks, assessments, and facilitation guides independently.
- Effective facilitator — can hold a room, manage diverse learner groups, and adapt delivery in real time.
- Comfortable with public speaking, webinar hosting, and appearing on digital platforms.
- Fluent in Hindi and English; able to simplify complex financial concepts for varied audiences.
- Proficient with MS Office / Google Workspace; familiarity with tools like Canva or similar for content design is a plus.
