Job Title: Manager – Technical Training & Enablement
Role Overview
The Manager – Technical Training & Enablement is responsible for defining and driving CDx’s technical capability development strategy. This role ensures that technical resources across levels are continuously upskilled, deployment-ready, and aligned to current and future project demands.
The role focuses on strategic planning, program governance, stakeholder alignment, and outcomes, while leveraging internal SMEs, and external partners for hands-on delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Capability Planning
- Define and own the enterprise technical training strategy aligned with business goals, technology roadmap, and delivery needs.
- Build structured capability frameworks and learning paths for:
- Freshers
- Lateral hires
- Experienced engineers transitioning to new technologies
- Anticipate future skill needs and proactively plan reskilling and upskilling initiatives.
Program Governance & Delivery Oversight
- Oversee the design and execution of training programs in areas such as:
- Java and Spring Boot
- UI technologies (React / Angular)
- Testing, Git, data, and engineering fundamentals
- Ensure the right balance between classroom, virtual, self-paced, and blended learning models.
- Review and approve curricula, assessments, and training standards.
Deployment Readiness & Business Alignment
- Partner closely with Delivery, Account, and Practice leadership to understand project demand and skill gaps.
- Own the deployment readiness model for unbilled or transitioning resources.
- Ensure training outcomes translate into:
- Faster onboarding
- Reduced bench time
- Improved delivery quality
- Support project-specific enablement for strategic or high-impact accounts.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Act as the primary interface between Account delivery, and Technology leadership on capability development.
- Collaborate with account technical teams and architects to align training with real-world project expectations.
- Engage external training vendors or platforms where required.
Metrics, Effectiveness & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track training effectiveness metrics, such as:
- Skill proficiency levels
- Assessment outcomes
- Deployment readiness and utilization
- Regularly review feedback from trainees, delivery managers, and clients.
- Drive continuous improvement of programs based on data, feedback, and technology evolution.
People & Resource Management
- Build a strong pipeline of internal trainers and technical SMEs.
- Plan and manage training budgets, tools, platforms, and learning infrastructure.
Technology Awareness & Direction
- Stay current with technology trends and version upgrades in:
- Java and Spring ecosystem
- Modern UI frameworks
- Agile, DevOps, and cloud fundamentals
- Translate technology trends into training implications and roadmap updates, rather than acting as a deep hands-on expert in every area.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 14–20 years of overall experience, including:
- Strong background in software development / engineering
- Progressive experience in technical training, enablement, or capability management
- Solid conceptual understanding of:
- Java and Spring Boot
- React / Angular
- Agile delivery practices
- Proven ability to design, scale, and govern enterprise-wide training initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Must Have
- Experience in IT services or consulting environments.
- Exposure to learning platforms, certifications, or vendor ecosystems.
- Background in organizational capability building or engineering excellence programs.
