Role Description The Trainee Service Engineer Mechanical role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune. The role involves assisting in installation, commissioning, calibration, and maintenance of precision measuring instruments and related equipment at customer locations. The trainee will support senior service engineers in diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment performance meets specified standards. Daily tasks include preparing service reports, documenting technical issues, coordinating with internal teams for spare parts and technical guidance, and providing basic operational guidance to customers. The role also includes continuous learning on dimensional metrology concepts, product features, and safety practices to deliver reliable and timely service.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, preferably with a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Candidates should possess skills in installation, maintenance, and calibration of mechanical or electromechanical equipment, with an aptitude for hands-on technical work.
- Candidates should possess basic knowledge of dimensional metrology, precision instruments, and mechanical measurements, with willingness to learn company-specific technologies.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose equipment issues and identify appropriate corrective actions.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work on-site at customer locations, travel as required, and adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, using standard mechanical tools, and working with MS Office or service documentation software is beneficial.
- Prior internship or project experience in industrial equipment servicing or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
