Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Trainee / Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our medical device and equipment development team. The engineer will work closely with electronics, embedded systems, biomedical and manufacturing teams to develop reliable, manufacturable and serviceable medical equipment.
The role provides hands-on exposure to the complete product development lifecycle, including concept development, mechanical design, prototyping, testing, design improvement, manufacturing support and engineering documentation.

Based in Hyderabad, India, the company focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and safety through innovative, cost-effective solutions. Its product portfolio includes portable and large RO systems for dialysis, as well as ultrapure water systems for biotech, pharmaceutical, and diagnostic laboratories.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles, including mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Design Engineering and Machine Design, with the ability to analyze components and mechanisms for strength, durability, and safety.
- Exposure to Product Design, including understanding user requirements, design for manufacturability, and iterative development of prototypes.
- Practical experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar) for 3D modeling and engineering drawings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and standards; familiarity with GD&T is an advantage.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in design, manufacturing, and quality.
- Interest in water treatment technologies, healthcare devices, or industrial systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of sheet-metal design, machining, injection-moulded plastics and rapid prototyping.
- Basic understanding of fluid systems, pumps, valves, tubing, pressure and flow would be advantageous.
- Ability to use basic measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers and gauges.

- Strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering and an interest in product development and medical technology.
- Hands-on approach and willingness to assemble, test, troubleshoot and improve prototypes.
- Good problem-solving, analytical and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn quality and regulatory requirements applicable to medical devices.
- Academic projects, internships, Formula Student/BAJA/robotics, product design or prototyping experience will be considered an advantage.
