Pay: $22-$24 Hourly + Commissions + Bonuses

About the Role
Are you a natural leader with a passion for sales and operations? TrailersPlus is looking for an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to help drive the success of our retail lot. In this role, you’ll be a key partner to the Store Manager, overseeing everything from high-stakes sales and inventory to staff development and hands-on service work. If you are organized, customer-focused, and ready to lead a team, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
  • Drive Revenue: Support the Store Manager in hitting sales goals for trailers, parts, and service labor.
  • Lead Operations: Manage daily processes, including trailer inspections, inventory control, and vendor relations.
  • Manage People: Help hire, onboard, and train a productive team. You’ll be responsible for keeping the workplace respectful, safe, and accountable.
  • Ensure Accuracy: Handle all invoicing and state-required paperwork with precision and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Maintain the Lot: Ensure the facility and grounds are professional, clean, and organized to promote safety and security.
  • Step Up: Act as the primary leader in the Store Manager’s absence, making critical decisions to keep the business running smoothly.

What You’ll Need
  • Experience: High school diploma (or equivalent) and 6–12 months of related experience/training.
  • Communication: Ability to write reports and speak effectively with customers. (Bilingual in Spanish is a major plus!)
  • Technical Ability: Proficiency with online computer systems and basic math (discounts, percentages, etc.).
  • Certifications: Willingness to obtain company certification for forklifts, tractors, and welding equipment.
  • Licensing: Ability to obtain state and city vehicle sales licenses where required.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently standing, walking, and climbing ladders.
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs routinely.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions (outdoor lot environment).
