Job Summary
Federal Bank is looking for a result-oriented Trade Acquisition Manager to acquire new business clients and grow the bank's Trade Finance portfolio. The ideal candidate should have experience in acquiring corporate or business banking customers and knowledge of trade finance products, foreign exchange and working capital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new corporate and business banking clients for trade finance products.
- Generate business through direct sourcing, referrals, channel partners and market networking.
- Develop relationships with importers, exporters, manufacturers and other business customers.
- Identify opportunities for trade finance, including Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), export/import finance and foreign exchange services.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
- Coordinate with credit, operations, compliance and forex teams to facilitate onboarding and transaction processing.
- Achieve acquisition, revenue and portfolio growth targets.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and identify cross-selling opportunities for other banking products.
- Ensure compliance with the bank's KYC, AML and internal risk policies.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline; a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in trade finance acquisition, corporate banking, business banking or transaction banking.
- Good understanding of trade finance products, LC/BG, forex and working capital facilities.
- Strong client acquisition, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Ability to achieve business targets and develop new corporate relationships.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates currently working with private sector banks, foreign banks or financial institutions in trade finance acquisition or corporate banking sales are preferred.
